Munich's Zoo, Our scooter gang, and Elder Nelson

Munich's Zoo

HALEY IS ORDERING ZUCKERWATTE (COTTON CANDY) USING GERMAN

I TOOK THIS PICTURE BECAUSE WHEN I LOOKED AR THIS ANIMAL AND SAW THE SIGN, IT DIDN'T LOOK ANYTHING LIKE THE ELK I'VE EVER SEEN. IT LOOKED AN AWFUL LOT LIKE A MOOSE TO ME, BUT YOU GUYS DECIDE.

WE BOUGHT GERMAN SCOOTERS TO BE ABLE TO GET AROUND MUNICH A LITTLE BETTER. I SOMETIMES FEEL LIKE I AM IN A LITTLE SCOOTER GANG.  THESE SHOTS WITH WATER ARE FROM A LITTLE SPLASH PAD THAT WE GO TO COOL OFF.

THE NEXT TWO SHOTS ARE OF TWO LITTLE KIDS THAT WERE ESSENTIALLY DUMPED IN MY LAP.  THEIR MOTHER DIDNT SPEAK MUCH ENGLISH BUT WANTED ME TO BABYSIT SO SHE COULD FIND HER MISSING SON.  WE BELIEVE IT MIGHT HAVE BEEN A SCAM TO TRY AND PICK POCKET ME WHILE I WAS DISTRACTED WITH THE KIDS, BUT MY MONEY WAS NOT ACCESIBLE SO LUCKILY NOTHING WAS STOLEN.

THIS ONE BELOW IS ONE OF THE MANY WIPEOUTS THE GIRLS HAVE HAD. WE ARE BRUISED, BUT LOVING OUR SCOOTERS.

THIS TIME WE WISED UP AND WORE SWIM SUITS TO THE SPLASH PAD.

THE GERMANS STARTED TO STARE AT THE GIRLS AS THEY PLAYED ''DOWN BY THE BANKS . . .''

ELDER RUSSELL M. NELSON OF THE QUORUM OF THE 12 APOSTLES CAME TO SPEAK TO OUR STAKE AND ALTHOUGH WE DIDN'T, OF COURSE, TAKE PICTURES OF HIM SPEAKING, WE DID TAKE PICTURES OF US TRAVELING BY TRAIN TO GET TO THE HOTEL WHERE HE SPOKE.

ELDER NELSON'S DAUGHTER IS IN OUR WARD.  SHE IS THE MISSION PRESIDENT'S WIFE.

WELL, 6.5 WEEKS LEFT UNTIL WE GO HOME.  WE MISS EVERYONE!!!

Trip to Berlin and Prague

Kevin had some work in Berlin, so we tagged along. On the way home we stopped in the Czech Republic to see Prague.  Hearing so many languages has made me marvel at what it must have felt like when God confounded the people who built the tower of Babel. People are just people no matter where you go, but language barriers can be very frustrating.

A piece of the Berlin Wall

Lego City in Potsdamer Platz

Bear outside of Marriott. We LOVE the executive lounges at the Marriott!

Below is a monument to memorialize all the Jewish people who perished in the holocaust.

We took this picture because Maiah only cares to see things with horses.

We can't wait to send this to our piano teacher (Beethoven, Mozart, and Haydn were carved in this)

Sorry, above is Czech treat and two below are from Berlin. I'm not much of a blogger :(

All below are from Prague.
